Switched off Nicktor once again, switched on satellite navigation and pointed it towards Nenzing in the west of Austria. Apparently this town had a camping which got 88% in our camping guide and we were curious about what this would offer.
Deciding to avoid toll-roads meant that once or twice we got to drive high up in the mountains (I'm pretty good going up but I kind of suck at going down, even though I'm a lot better than the Hungarian guy whose brake-lights I was looking at for about 20 kms while going downhill. Even I know not to do that. Also managed to get stuck in really dense mist before eventually making it to Nenzing.
The campsite in Nenzing turned out to be a bit of a Frankencampsite. All was really clean, showers and toilets looked as if the belonged in a 5 star hotel but it was all a bit too neat and too clean and all the sites were just squares on gravel. Still nice to know what an 8.8 on the camping-scale looks like.
Went for a walk at night (for a change). Nicktor sat in front of the tent (again, still can't walk) Really sad for him seeing as it's great a great hiking spot. Btw had rain almost all day until we arrived at our campsite.
