The queen's birthday, spent seeing all the new cars around, drinking beer and playing FIFA 2003. As for the cars, both Nicktor and McR have got their new company cars. Got driven around in Nicktors, admired McR's once again (I had already seen it a week ago) and eventually made my way up to my place, where the remainder of the day was spent with my playstation and a bunch of friends either loving it (McR, Nicktor and I) or complaining that they wanted attention (the female part of the company) Even managed to somewhat pack my backpack during this all

Somehow managed to stay at work till 10 past 7 (on a Friday, gaaah!), drove back home, rented :Gegen die wand", which girlfriend loved and I didn't care about too much and then passed out in bed. I'm getting old! Boohoo!

Got together with McR, Martina, Anneloes and girlfriend and had dinner in de smaak van Afrika. Big fun. I'm now also McR's daddy seeing as I got to pay for his whole night out.

Finished the evening in Waterfront where we saw Mono perform. Brilliant concert. A bit puzzled by the choice of their opening act (a crappy sounding metal band) Back home late.

Traffic jams, home late. Pizza. On the upside:"Yay, I'm flying to Italy on Sunday!".

Oh, by the way, I managed to drive 1010 kilometers on a tank of diesel the past week. I attempted a week of shifting as early as possible, baking as little as possible and somewhat dull speeds. Usually I have to stop at a petrol station after 900 kilometers so not too bad a result.

Dinner and movie at girlfriend's place. Scary, Annemarie nowadays yells "yay, food!" whenever I enter the place, because of the time of me coming back from Amsterdam and her usual feeding time being 2 hour apart.

As for the movie:"Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" was pretty cool. Even managed to watch half a football match afterwards with girlfriend grumbling that she was defintiely more interesting than a football match.

Worked, went home, read book.

Had aunt and uncle pop by for a quick visit in the afternoon, popped by my dad's birthday party in the evening. Back to bed at night.

Bought girlfriend the "Eternal sunshine of the spottless mind"-dvd. Apparently I'm now her daddy for doing so. In the afternoon went to the movies with girlfriend, sister of girlfriend and boyfriend of sister of girlfriend. Saw "the Interpreter", which was pretty cool.

Eventually made it to "de Oude haven" for mexican food, and where Nicktor was the only person to notice that I was actually ill. (Strangely enough I didn't notice myself either till later). Left restaurant, biked to Shiwa's birthday party spent some time there, got ill and went back to my own place. Fell asleep almost instantaneously.

My dad's birthday. Popped by, gave him his birthday present. Installed him and eventually went to girlfriend's place.

Work till even later *gaaah!*. Fortunately I started a bit earlier to counter for all this. Bought a printer as a birthday present for my dad on the way back home and spent the night watching Ali-G in da house.

Up early, work appears te bo somewhat stressfull this week. Eventually left the place running and watched a film at girlfriend's place.

Attempted more sleep. Appear to be getting pretty good at it. Too bad about the early wake-ups though.

Somehow managed to get a cold (might have something to do with me biking around in the rain last Saturday) and felt somewhat miserable most of the day. Obviously this meant it was one of those days where I had to think a lot, while my brain was actually in the off-position.

Went to bed really early to try and get my brain-power back.

Got visited by McR in the afternoon, who popped by to show off his new car. Girlfriend baked me more cookies, while I spent the afternoon watching dvd's and playing with my ps2.

Rented some dvds at night (I'm now a proud member of my local videostore) and found out they've got a massive porn-section. *woohoo ;-)* Watched garage days with girlfriend and kept shouting:"Woohoo, that's Newtown" (the place where I spent 3 months in Sydney). Really cool.

Somewhat mis-chose my main means of transportation for the day when I hopped on my bicycle to help Karlijn doing house-stuff in the place she just bought. As a result of this I arrived there soaked because of a rainstorm I failed to notice when I left my place.

Spent the remainder of the afternoon pulling wallpaper from walls. Karlijn's new place is pretty cool, I have to say I'm somewhat jealous of it. Guess I'll have to start looking out for something even more flash now :-)

Spent Saturday night at home, old fart style.

Spent the night at home with girlfriend, drank a bottle of wine to forget that we're now apparently old and boring. Did laundry.

Another busy day in the office. Fortunately somewhat quieter than yesterday though. I finally got my planning night with Bart and the final plan has become:"We fly into Italy on the first, spend 3 nights in a hostel somewhere in Rome (which we've already booked, whoa)" Do some more stuff, pick up a car on the 7th, make it to Siena in time for the wedding while doing stuff on the way, do more stuff after the wedding and make it to Pisa on the 16th to swap Bart for girlfriend" Do more stuff. Stuff will be defined on the go here, I fear :-)

Managed to kind of forget the location of the car-park I parked at earlier and spend 20 minutes looking for my car.

One of the busiest days I've had at work for ages, if not forever. Had too many people with too many problems requiring too much work at my desk for most of the time and got interrupted by phone calls asking me whether the work was already done or announcing even more "challenges". Eeeek!

Somehow managed to stay almost as sane as usual and eventually stumbled out and made my way girlfriend-wards, where I got dragged to ' ye olde video shoppe' where we rented G.O.R.A, a Turkish comedy which was pretty funny. Now fluent in Turkish.

Eventually went home and passed out.

Playing with myself-night. Aka as the "pizza and Playstation"-session.

Sunny day, didn't do too many exciting things (get back home, watch tv,read book, play on my new playstation).

Girlfriend made me cookies!!! (Actually, she did so yesterday as well)

More Playstation fun, may have accidentally bought some second hand cheap games and eventually had dinner at my parents place. They appear to be slowing down in their purchases for my new place.

At night had Nicktor visit for more games and fun.

Had girlfriend pop by and showed her my new dvd player. Girlfriend appears to like. Then watched Ju-On (the Japanese version of 'the Grudge'). Girlfriend apparently not too fond of horror movies. Managed to make her jump when she left the bathroom by just standing.

This must be "getting dumped by Bart"-week. This time Bart called in sick. Bummer!

Was supposed to visit Bart but he called to tell me he had double-booked himself and that I was the lucky loser :-) So I got to spend the whole night with my dvd-player, trying out its game-capability.

Got dragged to Almere by girlfriend to celebrate the birthday of her brother. Note to self:"Don't joke about moving in together, marriage or children in front of girlfriend's mum, it looks like she'd love to have a wedding or even better, grandchildren.

Found this one out, when I replied a:"Are you going to visit Maaike every week when she's in Finland"-question with:"Not really, it's the last 6 months of rest I get, before..." Obviously I hadn't thought of a proper before so I tried to joke myself out by giggling:"Marriage?" Note to self once again:"Don't do this again"

Bought a dvd player in the evening. My dvd player appears to have Playstation 2 capabilities as well. Spent most of the night exploring those capabilities.

Visited an art-exhibition by Judy, a girl I went to primary school with. Fun to see Judy again.

Spent part of the afternoon adding some things to my place, drilling some walls, install a coat-rack, etc. etc. Am getting unbelievably spoiled by parents now. They've found out that every last Wednesday of the month they can have dinner at IKEA and then get their dinner money's worth in IKEA stuff for free. They claim they're not buying me stuff, they just like having dinner at IKEA.

Then left for "de Oude Haven" where I teamed up with McR and Nicktor for some drinks. After a quick pizza with McR, and a quick detour past my place, I eventually ended up clubbing in Rotterdam (and texting most of my friends "do you know if the pope's still alive?) And I can't even remember I was /that/ drunk. Thanks to those who were kind enough to reply :-)

Gaah! Found out that my suspicions were true. Let's just say that I found out that my e-mail didn't work in the morning and that it took me till 3pm to gather courage to call a helpdesk to fix it.

Saw Eric Sauers (a Dutch comedian) in Zwijndrecht. Not too bad, not the best show I've seen either. Then this could still be blamed on the massive hangover I hinted at earlier. Eventually picked up my bike and ended up at girlfriends' place.
