Spent the night in a hotel, writing sinterklaas poetry. Lots of fun. Managed to fall asleep at 10 so that's even more sleep than usual. For the foreigners wondering:"Yes, we already celebrated sinterklaas 2 months ago" it's just that Lorraine wasn't there and that we forgot to celebrate with all our friends. So we're doing that this weekend.

Woke up, drove home and spent my afternoon paying bills, playing guitar and burning some cd's for Lorraine. She also gave me the photos she made during last week's cathedral touching session, so keep watching this space.

Got bored and somehow ended up driving to Zierkzee with girlfriend. Did some sightseeing and then drove on to Dordrecht, where we got lost and had Greek food.

Celebrated my birthday at night in Villa Kakelbont. Lots of fun, lots of people. Somehow decided to celebrate Sinterklaas next saturday. Why again??

Went out for drinks with my geek-friends (Remco, Ronald, Adriaan, Jaron, Joris and Nerissa). Managed to liven up Nerissa's mood by talking geek to her (she's currently working at a shop and appears to be getting fed up with middle aged women talking kids.

Somehow ended up in Pardoen in "de Oude Haven" for drinks, drinks and more drinks. Actually I thought I was doing pretty well. Then girlfriend claims it's out of character for me to stumble into her bedroom and call her a "hot chick". Why's that??

Spent the night at my neigbour's place trying to fix his computer and watching the football. Fortunately not too much fixing needed.

Had lots of family (well... aunt, uncle + Myra and gang) visit to celebrate my birthday. Yes, I'm definitely another year older. Eeek! Note to self:"Don't spill your drink all over yourself when the dog starts barking"

My birthday. Woohoo! Took the day off and decided only to do birthday stuff. So woke up late, got presents from my mum (strangely enough all clothing related), had birthday breakfast and then moved on towards girlfriend's place. Got chocolate cake, got lots of cool presents (my real present is still a surprise), among which were the yellow, red, blue and green stickers for sticking on your car windows. I fear my friends will have something to play with for the next while.

Then picked up Lorraine who somehow managed to make me an Euromast member

Snow last night. Unfortunately this means that most of the Dutch people forget how to drive their cars and start crashing into eachtoher. Apparently this was the 4th worst traffic jam ever. Managed to avoid most of it and only be half an hour later than usual, then noticed the tube wasn't running, due to which I got to walk for 30 minutes *Gaah!*

Spent the evening trying to fix my neighbour's computer.

Spent most of the day recuperating from yesterday's exhausting trip round the Netherlands. May have some trouble explaining to people what the hell happened yesterday.
